Major Lazer Declare 'Peace Is the Mission' on New LP

BY Josiah HughesPublished Mar 23, 2015

Following up their Apocalypse Soon EP, Diplo, Walshy Fire and Jillionaire have announced plans to resurrect Major Lazer once again for a new LP.

The release, which marks their third full-length overall, is called Peace Is the Mission. As always, it's full of star-studded cameos, with guest spots from Ellie Goulding, Travi$ Scott, 2 Chainz, Pusha T, Chronixx and many others.

The album also includes a remix of the group's Hunger Games contribution and Ariana Grande collaboration "All My Love," their recently released free download "Roll the Bass" and the MØ and DJ Snake collaboration "Lean On," which was recently treated to a music video (see below).

The video was shot in India. In a press release, Diplo explained how the country influenced them. "When we toured there as Major Lazer, it was mind blowing to see our fan-base and we wanted to incorporate the attitude and positive vibes into our video and just do something that embodies the essence of Major Lazer," he said. "Major Lazer has always been a culture mashup and to us, India feels like some kind of special creature with one foot in history and one firmly in the future."

Peace is the Mission will arrive on June 1 via Mad Decent.
