A second wave of artists has been announced for the inaugural Levitation Vancouver, with organizers confirming that A Place to Bury Strangers, Dead Meadow and Twin River are among those now set to appear at the Austin Psych Fest spinoff.

The fest has added a baker's dozen of acts that are set to appear on various stages around Vancouver between June 5 to 7. This also includes Seattle's Tacocat, Drenge, Al Lover, Biblical, Peregrine Falls, Mammifere, Waingro, the Backhomes, and Dead Quiet. On a front both interstellar and locally minded, members of Vancouver jazz explorers Inhabitants and Fond of Tigers are uniting as the Sun Ra Star System, a tribute to Sun Ra.

A Place to Bury Strangers will headline a performance at the Rickshaw Theatre on June 5, placed just above the Warlocks. Longtime psych figures Dead Meadow, meanwhile, top a bill at the Electric Owl the next day.

As previously reported, Levitation Vancouver mixes up its schedule with club shows and all-day outdoor concerts at Stanley Park's Malkin Bowl. Throughout the weekend, the outdoor stage will showcase the Black Lips, Black Mountain, the Black Angels, Atlas Sound, Witch, Dada Plan, Dead Moon and many more.

Playing club shows will be the likes of King Tuff, Tobacco, Amen Dunes, Anciients, Black Wizard and Dead Ghosts.

Three-day all-access passes have since sold out, but an all-access weekend pass is currently going for $150, while a two-day pass to the Malkin Bowl performances will run you $135. Single-day passes for Malkin Bowl go on sale this Friday (April 24) for $75, with single-concert tickets for the various Levitation options going on sale the same day.
