Back in the summer, we learned that Lamb of God vocalist Randy Blythe was prepping a memoir regarding his trying time fighting a manslaughter charge in Prague. Now, it appears as if the book has been affixed with a summer 2014 due date.
According to an Amazon listing [via Blabbermouth], Blythe's page-turner is dubbed Dark Days: My Tribulations and Trials, and it will arrive June 24 through Da Capo Press. It had previously been hinted at that the book would land in the spring.
The hardcover book weighs in at 288 pages and will focus on the case surrounding a fatal stage dive taken by Czech Republic fan Daniel Nosek at a 2010 concert, which led to the arrest and charging of Blythe, who allegedly pushed the fan. According to the listing, the book "tells the story of [Blythe's] incarceration and the wild life that led up to it."
As reported, Blythe was acquitted, being found not criminally responsible for the tragic accident last March.
"While I've dreamed of being a published author almost since I began to read, I never imagined my first book would centre around such a sad topic," Blythe said in a statement. "Sometimes though, life unexpectedly provides you a story that needs to be told. I believe this one does (for several different reasons, not just for the benefit of myself), so I will tell it with the respect and dignity all involved deserve. This will be a good read, I promise you, and I hope some good comes of it."
In other news, Blythe recently revealed he's been working on some "wacked out music" with Testament guitarist Alex Skolnick. It's unclear at present if the home recording project will be issued out into the public.
