Kurt Vile Announces New LP, Tour

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jun 15, 2015

Though the details are slim, Philly indie rock figure Kurt Vile has announced that his sixth hazy full-length will arrive sometime in the fall. Titled b'lieve i'm goin down, the album will be issued through Matador Records.

A trailer for the project dropped today (June 15). The quick clip teases a fairly euphoric arrangement of saxophone, staccato piano and an effects-loaded guitar line. As you'll see down below, the trailer also combines visuals of Vile working in a recording studio and going on a quest in a desert.

Matador promises more concrete info on the LP is on the way. The album follows Vile's 2013 full-length, Wakin on a Pretty Daze, and its companion EP, It's a big world out there (and I am scared).

In addition to the album news, Vile revealed a fall tour schedule. He has a couple of weeks' worth of North American dates starting in early October, with a Canadian appearance booked at Toronto's Phoenix Theatre on October 25. This will be followed by a stretch of overseas appearances.

Waxahatchee is set to open a handful of North American and European dates, while other artists set to appear throughout the tour include Luke Roberts and Cass McCombs. You'll find all of the info down below.
