Following their triumphant Coachella appearance and string of select live dates, the Brothers Reid, better known as the Jesus & Mary Chain, have announced they will indeed do the full reunion thing and record new music together (though likely without Scarlett Johansson as a full-time member).
Front-man Jim Reid told British magazine Uncut: "The reunion is not necessarily about any nostalgia trip. There will be a new record, otherwise there wouldn't be any point to reforming."
The yet-to-be-recorded material will follow-up 1998's patchy Munki (released on Sub Pop), and could possibly feature the new song "All Things Must Pass," which has been making the rounds in their live sets.
