The Holy Gasp

"The Last Generation of Love"

Toronto pop weirdoes the Holy Gasp recently teamed up with Toronto's Josh Korody (Greys, Burning Love, Great Bloomers), who produced their forthcoming We Really Mean It LP. The album has yet to arrive, but Exclaim! has got an exclusive stream of its next single.

Clocking in just under three minutes, "The Last Generation of Love" isn't exactly long. Still, the band pack in plenty of ideas, with yelping vocals, busy rhythm, busy bass lines and plenty of horn stabs. According to the group, the song "draws influence from Afro-Cuban drumming and beat poetry."

The Holy Gasp will also perform on September 16 with Kid Congo and the Pink Monkey Birds at Toronto's Silver Dollar. More information on that event is available here.
