Hatebreeds back with the follow up to last years fan favourite Perseverance, and they dont disappoint. Luckily, the band doesnt go too far out on a limb and sticks to what they do best: growling vocals, thrashing guitars and writing every song as if it were an anthem. The bands passion is unmistakable in each concise blast of positive hardcore. Lead vocalist Jamey Jastas lyrics sound more heartfelt, as if he doesnt feel he needs to prove himself anymore. The first single, "This Is Now, is the most commercial track on the album, but it still carries the bands signature style with fast, metal riffs that make you move. The Rise of Brutality takes a few listens before it can be truly appreciated, but Hatebreed fans will not be disappointed.
