Long-running Boston indie pop act Hallelujah the Hills have amassed a large discography over the years, but that doesn't mean they can't revisit past material. The group are planning a vinyl repress of their fourth album, Have You Ever Done Something Evil?, next month, and to celebrate they've premiered a brand new video with exclaim.ca.
The clip for "Try This Instead" was directed by the band's own Ryan Walsh and stars beloved comedian James Adomian (an accomplished standup who has appeared on Comedy Bang! Bang!, Childrens Hospital and much more).
Adomian appears here as the band's manager, who offers up some hilariously bad advice to the group (including playing pitchforks as instruments in order to catch the attention of a popular music site). He's great as a slick-talking industry snake, offering a three-minute intro before the band try out some of the ideas on film.
Watch the video for "Try This Instead" below. The vinyl reissue of Have You Ever Done Something Evil? will arrive on September 24 via Re-Vinyl Records. It also comes with a digital bonus EP.
