Gwyneth Paltrow Officially Files for Divorce from Chris Martin

Last year, actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin went down that all-too common road, announcing the end of their marriage via a press release that featured the phrase "conscious uncoupling." In case that wasn't clear enough, the conscious uncoupling has become a legal one, too, as Paltrow has officially filed for divorce from the Coldplay frontman.

As The Hollywood Reporter explains, Paltrow officially filed for divorce from Martin yesterday (April 20), citing irreconcilable differences. She was married to the performer for 11 years, though she claims they separated in May 2013.

When they were still consciously coupled, Paltrow and Martin consciously procreated, too. They share two children in Apple and Moses Martin, and Paltrow is seeking joint custody in her suit.

In related news and as previously reported, Coldplay are currently working on a new album called A Head Full of Dreams. Chris Martin has suggested that it may be their last release.
