Föllakzoid Announce 'III,' Premiere New Single

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jan 29, 2015

Chilean kosmische devotees Föllakzoid have announced they'll be charting off into the outer regions of sound once again, with an album called III due March 31 through Sacred Bones.

The album follows 2013 sophomore set II, with a press release explaining the upcoming LP furthers the Santiago trio's journey through "loop-heavy, psychedelic and groove-riddled sounds." Föllakzoid crafted the four-song collection while out on the road, apparently while performing "open-air live medleys" on the festival circuit and during a "very cold Russian basement soundcheck."

The studio versions of the songs had the band bringing in German electronic artist Atom TM to add additional "atonal electronic sounds" to the reportedly lock-groove arrangements.

"We work in a very similar structure to mantric songs or techno, we share a metric language there that coordinates the musical language," the band said in a statement. "There are many layers in our music, most of them unknown even to us."

Down below, you'll find a tracklisting for III and stream of the album's heady, Krautrock-inspired "Electric."

III:

1. Electric
2. Earth
3. Piure
4. Feuerzeug
