Drake Postpones Western Canadian Shows

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Sep 4, 2013

A scheduling conflict has forced Drake to rearrange the Western Canadian portion of his North American tour this fall, postponing shows in Edmonton and Calgary, while cancelling a Saskatoon appearance altogether.

Via a series of press releases, Live Nation confirmed the schedule shake-up, citing "a recent change around the launch date" of Nothing Was the Same, with Drake's previously scheduled appearance on October 2 at Saskatoon's Credit Union Centre being the biggest casualty. Ticket refunds for the event will be honoured at the point of purchase.

Alberta fans, meanwhile, will get to see Drizzy hit the stage with Miguel and Future, but deeper in the fall than they had expected. The September 29 date at Calgary's Saddledome now takes place November 30, while the Edmonton stop at Rexall Place has been moved from September 30 to December 1.

At press time, these are the only changes to report. You can see the updated tour schedule down below.

UPDATE: The Vancouver show originally set to take place on September 27 has now also been postponed. It will now take place on November 28.

As for Nothing Was the Same, Drake's third full-length was recently bounced from a September 17 release date to September 24. While a tracklisting has yet to appear, it apparently features an appearance from Drake's dad on the deluxe edition, as well as guest work from Jay Z, Lil Wayne and Hudson Mohawke on the album proper.
