This summer, Canadian punk legends D.O.A. delivered their reggae-tinged and politically charged We Come in Peace LP. The band have now announced some Canadian dates to support the disc, and you might want to consider picking up a ticket, as they could be the last shows for quite some time.
A press release explains that since band leader Joe Keithley is currently eyeing a seat in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia as an NDP representative for the Coquitlam-Burke Mountain riding, he may be too busy with politics to tour in the future. The one sheet claims this isn't the end of the D.O.A., but, if elected, Keithley could be tied up for the next several years.
The band's fall trip is supposedly going to be 20 dates long, but thus far, only 10 shows have been properly announced. As you can see in the itinerary down below, the trip will definitely bring them from Ontario out towards the Maritimes. Western Canadian dates are expected to be revealed shortly.
In case you wanted to see Keithley play some somewhat gentler sets, the D.O.A. founder will also be doing some unplugged shows prior to the full-band tour. You can also peep those down below.
