Last we heard from Montreal-based throwback fuzz rockers CTZNSHP, they were working on a followup to their 2014 LP Doom Love with the Besnard Lakes' Jace Lasek at his Breakglass Studios. Although All Things to the Sea won't be out until 2015, they've given us the first taste of their new set of recordings with the single "Low Lives."
Starting out with some starry-eyed synthesizers and a steady four-on-the-floor backbeat, the song explodes outwards with heavily delayed guitars and melodramatic vocals, creating some seriously '80s-esque sounds.
Listen to the track in the player below, which can be found underneath the band's upcoming tour dates with Operators and the Besnard Lakes.
Tour dates:
11/21 Montreal, QC – Sala Rosa (M For Montreal) *
11/22 Quebec City, QC – Le Circle *
11/26 Toronto, ON – The Horseshoe Tavern ^
