Converge

on Exclaim! TV Aggressive Tendencies

Hitting the quarter-century mark is an accomplishment in and of itself, but even in their 25th year of existence — relatively elderly status in the life cycle of bands — Converge are refusing to slow down. Despite balancing side projects like Mutoid Man, Old Man Gloom and All Pigs Must Die, the Massachusetts metallic hardcore legends managed to make it out on the road with Sweden's similarly legendary melodic death metal unit At the Gates. Vocalist Jacob Bannon even found time during the Decibel Magazine Tour to sit down with Exclaim! TV for this Aggressive Tendencies piece.

Touring isn't the only thing keeping the band busy, as Bannon revealed that a Blu-ray follow-up to 2003's Long Road Home DVD will come out this year — and is currently over 18 hours long. Bannon talks details on that, as well as the progress on a follow-up to 2012's All We Love We Leave Behind in this exclusive interview. He also touches on the band's use of off-kilter melody, how they choose their setlist and the DIY attitude that drives Converge, as well as their various "completely inbred" offshoots.
