Casper Skulls

"King of Gold"

Toronto four-piece post-punk unit Casper Skulls are gearing up to release a 7-inch single for "King of Gold" next month, but before the physical goods are up for grabs, you can stream the new tune online.

According to the band, the song is "an observation of trust told through wordy inflection, feedback and one-chord dissonance." It was recorded by their friend Tyler Barrow over a weekend session back in February of this year.

The result is a dark blend of moody guitars, ominous-sounding percussion and menacing more-spoken-than-sung vocals. Scroll past the band's upcoming tour dates to give "King of Gold" a listen in the player below. If you like what you hear, the single is available for pre-order over here.
