Vancouver's BESTiE list their influences as "summer, ice cream, the beach, girls, floating down a river in an inner tube, high fives and heartbreak," and now the ultra-positive pop band have shared their debut album, No Bad Days. Ahead of its April 22 release, the record is available to stream in full on Exclaim.ca.
The album was recorded with Howard Redekopp (Mother Mother, Tegan and Sara, Said the Whale). It opens with twittering bird calls, and these lead into the bubbly, tropical pop single "Pineapple." Another previous single, the atmospherically bouncy "Asleep on the Bus," is also included here.
Elsewhere, "Feel in Love with a Stripper" and the Saved by the Bell-inspired "Kelly Kapowski" sport jangling, Smiths-style arpeggios, and "Sriracha" closes the album with more tropical sunniness.
