Bahamas had already mapped out a busy summer tour, and now the songwriter born Afie Jurvanen has expanded his schedule into the fall with a new batch of Canadian dates. This tour announcement coincides with the unveiling of a new video from last year's Juno-winning Bahamas Is Afie, which is premiering here at Exclaim!
This latest tour leg consists of four November shows: two in Alberta and two in Ontario, as Bahamas will now also be making it to Calgary, Edmonton, London and Toronto this fall. The Toronto show is part of the concert and film series Live at Massey Hall. The full itinerary — including all of the dates in June, July and August — can be seen down below.
For those who want to snag seats to the fall shows, a ticket pre-sale will be available at Bahamas' website.
At the bottom of the page, watch the freshly unveiled clip for the easygoing acoustic cut "Waves." Directed by Tyler Manson, the vintage-looking black and white video tells the real-life story of Carol Schuldt, an 82-year-old San Francisco resident who credits her ocean swims with preserving her sense of youthfulness. It's not exactly NSFW, but she doesn't wear a bathing suit and isn't shy.
In a statement, Mason said: "As Bahamas, Afie Jurvanen sings of the ocean's cold kiss. Carol's story emerged in a beautifully symbiotic and natural way. With a frenetic, archival feel we captured a true day in Carol's life. Pairing these raw visuals with the beautifully swelling 'Waves,' a unique pairing was created."
