Following the release of Aphex Twin's latest LP Syro, Richard D. James shared a barrage of unreleased material last week in conjunction with the first part of his Noyzelab interview.
Well, the second part of the interview has now been released and with it comes another whopping collection of never-before-heard sounds. Available for download through Aphex Twin's Soundcloud page, the Modular Sounds collection features 21 tracks, primarily consisting of material made on Buchla and Serge modular synthesizers, though there are also outtakes from his performance at the Barbican, clips made with a Roland System 700 and an early version of Syro track "CIRCLONT6A [141.98][syrobonkus mix]."
It's an interesting listen for any diehard fan, and you can see the full interview over here for James' in-depth commentary on the new collection of songs. Syro is out now via Warp and you can listen to Modular Trax below.
