Allison Crutchfield plays in both Swearin' and P.S. Eliot, and now the Philly musician — who just so happens to be the sister of Waxahatchee's Katie Crutchfield — is preparing to release her recent solo EP on vinyl via Vancouver label Kingfisher Bluez. Lean in to It isn't out until December 1, but it's available to stream now.
The album was mostly made alone, although Crutchfield co-wrote "Lupe" with Sam Cook-Parrott of Radiator Hospital. He also played bass and did some singing. The arrangements centre on lo-fi drum machines and keyboards, which anchor the plaintive opener "SUPERMOON," the cute and poppy duet "Rose Knows," and the jarring fuzz rumbles of closer "Berlin."
