It appears as if Alexisonfire have something up their sleeves, with the dormant screamo crew currently teasing a big announcement over social media.
The "only band ever" delivered their first-ever Instagram post today (March 6). As you can see up above, the image is of Alexisonfire's familiar and shapely skull-and-heart logo, but what may be more exciting is that beneath the icon is the date "03/09/15." The post was also subtitled with the hashtag "#AOF2015."
It's as yet unclear what's going on here, but the image was also tweeted out by vocalist George Pettit (currently of Dead Tired), guitarist/vocalist Dallas Green (also of City and Colour) and guitarist/vocalist Wade MacNeil (currently of Gallows).
The latter posted:
Whether or not Monday's announcement leads to new material from the band, tour dates, or something entirely different remains to be seen. Stay tuned.

Alexisonfire performed their last show at Hamilton's Copps Coliseum on December 30, 2012, following a string of goodbye shows across Canada. They pressed up a discography-mining vinyl box set the following year.
