Alexisonfire Reunite for Live Shows

Mystery no more, Ontario screamo outfit Alexisonfire have revealed that they're getting back together for a series of festival performances.

As previously reported, the band had posted a teaser image online last Friday (March 6) suggesting that some big news would be revealed today (March 9). A follow-up post has now confirmed that the St. Catharines-bred crew will be hitting stages once again for festival crowds worldwide.

As you can see in the image above, the "only band ever" will be making Canadian appearances at Heavy Montreal, Edmonton's Sonic Boom, Calgary's X-Fest and the Toronto instalment of Riot Fest. They'll also be crossing the pond to play the UK's Reading and Leeds festivals this summer. Though info is forthcoming, the band will also apparently be playing one U.S. festival.

Heavy Montreal's lineup is expected to be revealed in full later today, with the fest running August 7 to 9. Also, as previously reported, the Toronto's Riot Fest takes place September 19 and 20. A limited number of weekend passes for Riot Fest go on sale this Friday for $69.50, plus service charges.

Both Sonic Boom and X-Fest take place September 5 and 6. Ticket details are expected to be rolled out for those events tomorrow (March 10).

These will be the first Alexisonfire shows since the band played their "last concert" at Hamilton's Copps Coliseum on December 30, 2012.
