Afghan Whigs Announce 'Gentlemen at 21' Reissue

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Sep 8, 2014

Reunited Cincinnati alt-rockers the Afghan Whigs have announced plans to reissue their seminal 1993 album Gentlemen.

Celebrating its 21st birthday this year, the record will be revamped into a collection going by the apt name of Gentlemen at 21. According to a press release, the package will feature a remastered version of the record that is "updated" but retains the original's "blistering swagger."

Additionally, fans will be treated to an assortment of rare recordings, previously unreleased demos, B-sides and live material, all slated to arrive in North America on October 28 through Rhino.

The collection will be available digitally, as a two-CD set and as the single original remastered LP. A deluxe triple-LP version will be available on 180-gram vinyl on November 28 for Record Store Day's Black Friday event.

As previously reported, the band are on a tour in support of this year's Do to the Beast, though no more Canadian dates have been announced. Scroll past the Gentlemen at 21 tracklist for all the show info.
