London Music Club

470 Colborne St, London, ON

The London Music Club may be London’s homiest venue. This is due, in large part, to the fact that the venue is a house.

Located a few blocks away from London's downtown core, the inconspicuous London Music Club has filled its three rooms with a great diversity of musical events since Pete and Jan Denomme opened its doors to the public in 2004. The first room in the Club, simply called the Front Room, is the venue’s smallest, and typically features solo or duo folk acts. The Big Hall, also on the main floor of the house, hosts the majority of the venue’s recurring events, including an “Acoustyle” open mic and London’s popular monthly poetry slam. The Cellar Lounge is located in the basement, and features larger musical performances. Between these three spaces, London Music Club presents over 400 shows per year.

Several notable performers, especially within the realm of folk, roots, and blues, have frequented the venue, including Fred Eaglesmith, Jeremy Fisher, Carlos Del Junco and Trent Severn. Some performers, including Danny Michel and Craig Cardiff, have become regular performers at the venue, often putting on multiple shows every year.

The Club offers a membership service, which guarantees members discounts to shows, invitations to special events and discounted rental rates (with free rental space available on the member’s birthday).
