Toronto duo Zeds Dead have been delivering deep doses of bass music to the masses since 2004, most recently with last month's Adrenaline EP. If you've ever had a hankering to check out the electronic duo's dubstep-inspired anthems in the flesh, now is your chance, as the act have announced a North American tour that will have them on the road from now until the middle of spring.
A press release explains that Zeds Dead will headline their "Living Dead Tour" all around North America, with the first batch of dates taking place in their home country. The trip kicks off next Thursday (February 16) at Waterloo, ON's Beta, and from there the group will hit up a number of cities between Quebec and the western provinces. Zeds Dead will also be travelling to all corners of the United States, making pit stops at SXSW and Coachella, but the epic tour schedule gets capped with a final Canadian show in Whistler, BC on May 5.
While Zeds Dead are the big draw on the outing, the duo will also be bringing Toronto rapper and occasional collaborator Omar Linx and noted MPC geniusAraabMuzik with them, among other opening acts. The stage show is set to be an impressive display, with the press release explaining that the 15-LED-screen setup was designed by the same team behind recent tours from Skrillex and deadmau5.
Even if you can't make it out to any of the 60-plus shows on the schedule, it's hinted that fans at home will get a treat from Zeds Dead in the form of a new mixtape by the end of winter.
