According to a source at The FADER, a rework of Sir Elton John's "Rocket Man" featuring Thug could be in the works. The collaboration stems from 300 Entertainment co-founder Lyor Cohen recently arranging for the two to chat over FaceTime, which then reportedly led to John sending over the instrumental for his recognized 1972 hit.
"It's all the instrumental, the guitar, piano; and Thug is not rapping, he's singing," the source reports. "It's really ambient and amazing."
In the wake of I'm Up, we can only hope that Thug's new collaboration is cleared for lift off as soon as possible.
