You Can Now Make Your Own Album Cover for Spoon's 'Hot Thoughts'

BY Brock ThiessenPublished Feb 14, 2017

With the release of Spoon's Hot Thoughts getting ever closer, the band are getting into full-on promo mode. To help give it an extra push, the indie vets are now giving you a chance to create your own Hot Thoughts album cover, even if you've yet to hear the record.

Spoon have launched a new app called the Aura Reader, which will let you create your own album cover for the upcoming record. Here's how a press release explains it:

A fan creates a Spoon Spotify playlist, the Aura Reader analyzes that playlist then creates a individualized version of the Hot Thoughts album cover with different colours in the artwork's signature watercolour skull, creating a reflection of each fan's own… wait for it… hot thoughts.

The app is now live, and you can give it a go over here.

Along with the new app, Spoon have fleshed out their tour dates in support of the album, and you can see their updated schedule below. Unfortunately, so far there are no dates in Canada.

Hot Thoughts arrives in full on March 17 through Matador.
