Ahead of playing their first shows in four years this fall, Yeah Yeah Yeahs have shared a strange previously unheard track and are hinting at an announcement involving their debut 2003 album Fever to Tell.
Breaking a lengthy stream of flashback "#tbt" posts, the band shared a tweet today (September 25) that reads, "Wait….. #FeverToTell Tomorrow." Apart from the hashtagged album title, "wait..." comes from the chorus of album track "Maps."
The band have also shared a previously unreleased song titled "Phone Jam," which brings together snippets of music with voice messages. As you can see in the YouTube player below, the image associated with the song comes with the date of "June 2002" scrawled on an old cassette tape.
If you put two and two together, it's not an entirely crazy to think that "Phone Jam" will appear as a bonus track on an expanded Fever to Tell reissue.
While we wait and see what the band ultimately announce tomorrow, take in the nearly six-minute track in the player below.
