It's official: Wyclef Jean is ineligible to run for president of Haiti. This confirms previous speculation that he would be disqualified due to the fact that he hasn't lived in the country for five years. Jean isn't taking the ruling lying down, however as he has released a new song in protest.
The track is called "Prizon Pou K.E.P. A." We're not entirely sure what it says, since it's sung entirely in Hatian Creole, but we're guessing Wyclef isn't happy. The title translates as "Prison for the Electoral Council."
The singer unveiled the song in a tweet last night. You can download it for free here.
