In early April, Wu-Tang Clan generously donated some "dolla dolla bills" to the Ottawa Food Bank as part of some coronavirus fundraising, in appreciation of "Canada holding us down all these years." Now, they're joining forces once again to build "A Better Tomorrow."
Alongside Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson, the iconic rap crew and clothing brand 36 Chambers will support the Ottawa Food Bank, Ottawa Mission and the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) through their "A Better Tomorrow" campaign, which involves Wu-Tang's very own brand of "Protect Ya Hands" hand sanitizer.
"Whether it's through music, or our actions, the purpose of 36 Chambers and Wu-Tang, is to always see a better tomorrow," a statement on the campaign website reads. "36 Chambers is releasing the A Better Tomorrow Collection: three products that collectively will benefit the Ottawa Food Bank, Ottawa Mission and CHEO."
As seen above, the key campaign item is a shirt bearing the Wu-Tang Clan's instantly recognizable 'W' logo, with 'Ottawa' taking place of the group's name. All sales profits from the shirt will be donated to the Ottawa Food Bank.
The site also offers an all-natural, plant-based, vegan "Protect Ya Hands" hand sanitizer made by Canadian company Jusu, in addition to "The Saga Continues" bowl. The latter is a food order collaboration with Ottawa's Pure Kitchen that will see 100 percent of profits donated towards meals for frontline workers at CHEO who have been assigned to long term care facilities.
