This summer, the Maritimes will play host to one of the more diverse festival bills we've seen so far in 2012. Woodstock, NB's Dooryard Arts Festival has announced the lineup for its fourth annual instalment, which will run from August 8 to 11.

The festival's performers include Edmonton rapper Cadence Weapon, operatic tenor Derrick Paul Miller, accordionist Ingrid Gatin, indie rockers the Paint Movement and blues guitarist Matt Anderson. There are also plenty of folk-leaning acts, including Julie Doiron, Charlotte Cornfield, Rose Cousins, the Mountains and the Trees, Ben Caplan and the Casual Smokers, Snailhouse, and more.

In a statement, Dooryard co-founder Geoff Stairs said of the diverse bill, "We try very hard to make Dooryard inclusive. We want there to be something for almost everyone. Our only criterion is quality -- and there's no shortage of that."

The program, which all takes place in downtown Woodstock, also includes visual art, theatre, workshops and a market. Early bird passes for the main stage cost $70 and can be purchased here.
