Back in 2006, we identified an "intensity and a primeval power" within Wolves in the Throne Room's Diadem of 12 Stars. Now, the Olympia, WA black metal duo have announced that their debut is set to be reissued this summer.
The album will see its re-release on June 17, arriving on CD, vinyl, cassette and all digital formats. Pre-orders are now live and can be seen here. Diadem of 12 Stars had previously been out of print in North America since 2007, while it was last reissued in Germany in 2010. Both vinyl pressings command a hefty price on Discogs.
Along with the reissue announcement, Wolves in the Throne Room have lined up a string of live performances, marking their first time onstage since mid-2014 and first East Coast dates in five years. The trek will take place this September and will keep them primarily within the United States, with the lone Canadian date lined up for September 24 at Lee's Palace in Toronto. More dates will be added in the coming weeks.
