Whitehorse Launch Crowdfunding Campaign for 'Leave No Bridge Unburned' LP, Share New Track

Whitehorse's next album, Leave No Bridge Unburned, isn't due out until February 2015, but folk sweethearts Luke Doucet and Melissa McClelland are drumming up anticipation early by launching a Kickstarter campaign for the collection.

The band will be working with Gus van Go (the Stills, Said the Whale, Hollerado), who they met at last year's Polaris Music Prize gala. This will mark the first time they've hired an outside producer.

Below, hear the new song "Pins & Needles." This track might appear on Leave No Bridge Unburned, although nothing is confirmed. Also check out duo's Kickstarter campaign video at the bottom of this page.

The pair are hoping to raise $10,000 through Kickstarter. Contributors can pre-order copies of the album plus various merch items, handwritten lyrics, access to a listening party, the chance to record or perform with Whitehorse, a house show and more.

The band wrote, "Now, we are making a new record and we want you to be a part of it. We're going to make the best album we can make and share it with you from start to finish. We want to include you in the experiences we get excited about — the first time we share it with friends, the first time we see the album art, the conversations we have about which song should be the first single, and so on. We want you to experience the whole process with us."
