Wet Leg Lean into the Comments Section in New Video for "Oh No"

Their self-titled debut album arrives April 8 through Domino

Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers, the Isle of Wight duo known as Wet Leg, have had an interesting 2022, to say the least. After dropping a pair of singles last summer, the band have been catapulted into the mainstream, and have embarked on a globetrotting tour to spread the word of Wet. Ahead of the release of their debut self-titled album — due April 8 via Domino — they've channelled their newfound fame into a self-directed video for recent single "Oh No."

"It's quite an odd thing to suddenly open yourself to so much criticism and praise alike," Teasdale said of their attention-garnering output in a statement. "The comments that complete strangers will leave on our videos are so funny and range wildly in sentiment. Although we know it is bad for us to read them and we try to avoid it, sometimes it's irresistible when you're on your own; the 3am doom scroll really gets you."

Capitalizing on that influx of criticism, the group "obsessively" compiled a collection of their "favourite bits from the comments sections across our socials, the good, the bad, the ugly," repurposing them for the video accompanying their latest single.

Added Teasdale: "It has been quite cathartic actually." Watch the video below.

Wet Leg will play a handful of shows in the UK this week before heading across the Atlantic for the North American leg of their extensive 2022 tour. They'll bring their show to Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver in March, after which, they'll head back home for another run of performances. See the full schedule here
