Weezer Name New Album: 'Everything Will Be Alright in the End'

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jun 12, 2014

Weezer began talking about a new album way back in 2010, the very same week they released their record Hurley. These plans were seemingly put on hold until recently, when the band began rolling out teaser clips from the studio. Now, it appears that they've confirmed the album title.

Their latest teaser clip, "=w= 9," shows someone fiddling with a radio before writing the words Everything Will Be Alright in the End. This title screen also shows the words "produced by Ric Ocasek," officially confirming suggestions that the Cars frontman was returning as the band's studio partner (he also helmed 1994's Blue Album and 2001's Green Album).

The new clip includes a short snippet of the heavy opening riff from "Back to the Shack," which the band have played live as of late. Presumably this means that the song will be on the album. Hear it below, along with the aforementioned "=w= 9" clip.
