The Muppets sure are having a big impact on the music world as of late. Not only is Dave Grohl going to appear in the upcoming Muppets movie, but My Morning Jacket were reportedly in talks to perform as a touring version of the show's band Electric Mayhem. Now, we have the details of the the star-studded album Muppets: The Green Album.

This 12-track collection features an impressive selection of musicians covering songs originally made famous by the Muppets. The album has been in the works for some time, as we reported way back in 2009 that Weezer, Andrew Bird and My Morning Jacket were slated to contribute.

Sure enough, these three artists appear here, alongside OK Go, Sondre Lerche, the Airborne Toxic Event, Alkaline Trio and more. Soon, you will be singing along to brand new versions of classics like "Halfway Down the Stairs" and "Rainbow Connection."

Scroll past the tracklist to see the trailer for Jason Segel's new Muppets movie, which was scored by the Flight of the Conchords' Bret McKenzie. The movie comes out on November 23. The album drops two months earlier, on August 23, through Disney.
