Over the past few weeks, we've all experienced the barrage of hype leading up to Weezer's eighth album, Hurley: first there was the news that they had signed to an indie label, Epitaph, which was followed by a ridiculous album cover and allegations of a cross-promotional deal with Hurley clothing.
