Next year is looking to be a great one for Canadian singles clubs. Scotch Tapes has already unveiled plans for a massive monthly subscription service, and now Toronto-based arty punk imprint We Are Busy Bodies will prove its name true with a jam-packed vinyl singles club.

The label announced the series on its website, saying, "We Are Busy Bodies saw the movie 2012 (not actually), so we're trying to make the most of 2011 with the release of our first single series."

The project will feature twelve seven-inch records, each limited to 100. Fifty of those will go to the subscribers, 15 will be available for individual sale through the label and the remaining 35 will go to the artists' merch tables.

The series kicks off with a single from Doldrums. Then, in order of release date, the label will issue records from Young Governor, Odonis Odonis, Rock Plaza Central, AIDS Wolf, Rich Aucoin, Gary Wilson, Tropics, Great Bloomers, Shellshag, the Most Serene Republic and Mothers Children.

Potential subscribers can sign up for the program for a measly $100 at this link. It should be noted that the Doldrums single will ship with the Young Governor single in February, with all the other releases expected on a monthly basis after that.
