Katie Crutchfield recently detailed plans for her next Waxahatchee album Out in the Storm and the upcoming "Lenny IRL" tour, but before the new LP arrives, she's shared a new non-album cut called "No Curse."
The track debuted on the latest episode of Shaking Through, a non-proft, community-produced documentary series about "the vision and process of recording music."
The 17-minute episode hears Crutchfield discussing the new song — explaining that it was recorded the day after U.S. president Donald Trump's inauguration, and inspired by the politically charged protests taking place at the time.
Hear the story behind the song and watch Waxahatchee perform it in the clip below.
Out in the Storm, meanwhile, is due out on July 14 via Merge.
