If there's one thing Flea loves more than bass slapping, it's the Los Angeles Lakers. Over the weekend (January 9), the Red Hot Chili Peppers funkster was picked to participate in a halftime skills contest at the Lakers' game against the Memphis Grizzlies — and he went all-out and tried a trick shot.
Flea, wearing a Talen Horton-Tucker jersey and a fairly sturdy-looking KN95 mask, dribbled between a couple of obstacles and then attempted a behind-the-back and through-the-legs left-hand layup — which he flubbed. He then sunk a free throw, followed by a series of short shots. Not bad!
Flea tweeted that he was "scared to death" while out on the court. He added in an Instagram caption, "I swear I usually drain that crazy ass behind the back through legs off hand layup!"
