Watch Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds Enter the Unknown in New Trailer

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Aug 2, 2016

Ahead of the release of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds' new album and movie, the group have revealed a dramatic trailer teasing both.

A black and white teaser video has been released to promote One More Time with Feeling, the cinematic project to be released in theatres September 8, the night before the arrival of the band's new album, Skeleton Tree. As previously reported, music from the record will be premiered in the film, rather than traditional promotional means.

The trailer is narrated by Cave, who discusses going from the "known into the unknown," noting how a "catastrophic" event can change everything. This would seemingly allude to the tragic 2015 cliff fall death of his son, Arthur Cave.

The clips mixes together footage of Cave riding in cars and working in the studio, with fellow Bad Seed Warren Ellis found performing a graceful violin solo. You'll find the video down below.

Directed by Andrew Dominik, One More Time with Feeling was filmed in black-and-white and colour, in both 3D and 2D. Info on the screenings can be found here.

As for Skeleton Tree, recording sessions began at Brighton, UK's Retreat Studios in 2014, though additional recording took place at La Frette Studios in France in the fall of 2015. You can pre-order the set, the Bad Seeds' first since 2013's Push the Sky Away, here.
