Back in July, the New Pornographers announced that they'd be heading out on a tour of two-night stands to celebrate the 21st anniversary (the whole pandemic situation made a 20th anniversary celebration impossible) of their debut album Mass Romantic.
And now, you can see footage from their first show of this long-in-the-making tour, which includes Neko Case and Dan Bejar. Case and Bejar have been less involved in the band since its early days — Bejar has sat out completely on the last few records — so it's cool to see them join A.C. Newman and co. on stage again.
Last night's show took place at Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock and consisted of a full run-through of Mass Romantic and a second set of songs pulled from across their discography.
Canadian fans can catch the band in Toronto at Danforth Music Hall on December 6 and 7 or in Vancouver at the Vogue Theatre on December 11 and 12.
Check out footage and photos from the show below.
