British-French chanteuse Charlotte Gainsbourg recently announced her guest-heavy new Rest, revealing collaborations with Daft Punk's Guy-Manuel de-Homem-Christo, Paul McCartney, Owen Pallett and Connan Mockasin — but her impressive cast of famous friends doesn't end there.
Gainsbourg has unveiled a new video for "Deadly Valentine," which she co-stars in alongside Blood Orange mastermind Dev Hynes.
It follows a previously shared clip for the record's title track, and marks the second in an ongoing visual series.
"Each video came from personal, resonating ideas," Gainsbourg told Dazed. "This song mixes wedding vows with an offbeat tone. I wanted to express the idea of a lifetime engagement; a couple running to church, from childhood to old age, a lifetime path. I asked my friend Dev Hynes if he would play my partner, and he very graciously agreed. It was fun finding our younger and older selves!"
