Victoria's Rifflandia Brings Out Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Big Boi, Death From Above 1979, James Murphy

Victoria, BC's annual Rifflandia has rolled out its first wave of artist announcements for their 2013 edition, with high-profile acts attached to the Vancouver Island festival including psych-pop crew Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Atlanta rap favourite Big Boi, and reunited fuzz-rock duo Death From Above 1979.

This evening (June 28) organizers unveiled a trailer revealing countless other artists who will play various venues across Victoria between September 12 and 15, including Braids, a DJ set from James Murphy and Pat Mahoney, Beth Orton, Wavves, Cold Specks, Holy Fuck, Jurassic 5's Chali 2na, Matt & Kim, Wintersleep, Mounties, Stars, the Orb, Mykki Blanco, Needles//Pins, Bosnian Rainbows, and many, many more.

Tickets and festival passes go on sale next Friday (July 5) and will be available online and in Victoria at Rifflandia headquarters, Ditch Records, Lyle's Place and the Royal & McPherson box office. You can find out more info here
