The previously announced "Songs of Nick Drake" tribute tour is currently touring in Ontario and Quebec, and to give you a taste of what these guest-heavy gigs have to offer, here are a pair of live videos from the performances so far.
During the November 3 show at Knox Presbyterian Church in Stratford, ON, Ron Sexsmith performed "Day Is Done." Watch the live footage below to see Sexsmith strumming his acoustic guitar while backed by a string section, who help him to recapture the lush arrangement from 1969's Five Leaves Left.
Also from that show is live footage of Oh Susanna performing "Fly." This arrangement is a little more spare than Sexsmith's, but the guitar, bass and violin are similar to the instrumentation of the original from 1970's Bryter Layter.
