Published Mar 13, 2018Vancouver has a brand new music festival. It's called SKOOKUM Festival, and it's coming to the city's Stanley Park from September 7 to 9. The organizers have just rolled the lineup, and it features some big local and international names.
The lead headliners are the Killers and Florence + the Machine. Right below them on the poster are Metric, Arkells, the War on Drugs, St. Vincent, Father John Misty, Chromeo, Bahamas and Blue Rodeo.
On the local front, the lineup includes Mother Mother, Said the Whale, Yukon Blonde, the Zolas, Hey Ocean!, the Matinée, Current Swell, the Boom Booms, Delhi 2 Dublin and Dear Rouge.
Rounding out the lineup are Whitehorse, Stereophonics, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Cold War Kids, Greta Van Fleet, Matt Andersen, Buffy Sainte-Marie. Shred Kelly, Matt Mays and more. See the poster above.
Passes go on sale at 10 a.m. on March 16. An official description from the festival promises "live art, sculpture, and multi-media installation."
