This year marks the 125th anniversary of Vancouver's glorious and gorgeous Stanley Park, named after former governor general of Canada Frederick Stanley. To help celebrate the occasion, on-site suds-pumpers Stanley Park Brewery are presenting a two-day festival featuring performances from the likes of the Arkells, Born Ruffians and the reunited You Say Party.

Booked August 24 to 25, the LIVE at Second Beach festival is set to take place as a free event in Ceperly Meadow at Second Beach in Stanley Park.

The August 24 festivities will be headlined by Ontario indie rockers Born Ruffians, with support sets on tap from You Say Party, We Are the City, Washboard Union, Watasun and Ali Milner. August 25, meanwhile, finds the Arkells at the top of the heap, but also appearing will be the Matinee, the Belle Game, Kuba Oms and Velvet Revolution, and Hilary Grist.

Though the full details have yet to arrive, both days will also feature local singer-songwriters performing acoustically at a separate beer garden stage.

"As a local family-owned and operated brewery, we are proud to be the presenting partner of this event to celebrate Vancouver's beloved Stanley Park," Stanley Park Brewery Vice President of Marketing Andy Murison said in a statement. "We believe Lord Stanley would be proud of what we have done in his honour at Stanley Park Brewery and of the efforts of local businesses and community partners to join together to celebrate this tremendous milestone."
