While West Coast music festivals have been dropping like flies this year, a new event is scheduled to take over Vancouver this summer. The newly minted event is called the Westward Music Festival, and it comes with quite the stacked lineup.

Taking place from September 14 to 17, the festival will go down at a variety of venues across Vancouver, such as the Vogue and Biltmore. And set to play the inaugural fest are the likes of Vince Staples, A Tribe Called Red, PUP, Charlotte Day Wilson, Touche Amore, Hannah Georgas, Gov't Mule, Dear Rouge and more.

The event is being organized by MRG Concerts, which stated this about the festival:

Celebrating the spirit of Vancouver and its world-class music scene, shows will feature multi-genre line ups that will all take place within a 2.5 km radius of one another at venues such as the Vogue Theatre (open to all ages), Biltmore Cabaret, the Imperial Theatre and Fox Cabaret, with a two-day outdoor event at the Red Truck Brewery back lot.
