Vancouver's Dead Soft Prep Debut Album for Kingfisher Bluez, Premiere "Never Forever"

BY Josiah HughesPublished Jun 13, 2014

Vancouver act Dead Soft have built a solid reputation for their grunge-leaning punk pop thanks to frequent touring and a handful of smaller releases. All of that experience will culminate in their debut album.

The self-titled release features nine songs from the band, all of which were recorded with Jordan Koop at his Noise Floor studio on Gabriola Island, BC.

The album art, available above, perfectly exemplifies the band's mixture of doom and sweetness, combining a sunset with an open coffin. The image was created by Michael Tunk.

Dead Soft will be available on August 30 via Vancouver imprint Kingfisher Bluez. To support the release, the band intend to tour North America this fall.

For now, album track "Never Forever" can be streamed in all its fuzzy glory below.
