Vancouver's Cloudface Readies 12-Inch for Mood Hut

BY Alex HudsonPublished Feb 15, 2013

Last year, Vancouver's No Gold took an indefinite hiatus, but the guys promised to remain busy with their Mood Hut collective. Sure enough, Mood Hut's imprint will soon be releasing a 12-inch from local electro producer David Reynolds, otherwise known as Cloudface.

The four-song disc was recorded at Mood Hut's studio and is the collective-turned-label's first 12-inch. A message from the label notes that the release doesn't have a distinct title, but it can be referred to either as Devonian Garden EP or by its catalogue number, MH001.

The exact release date isn't yet set in stone, but it will be out sometime in late March, depending on when it will be available from distributors.

That's the artwork up above and the tracklist down below. While it only contains four tracks, the beat-heavy EP clocks in at a generous 21 minutes, with sounds that range from the danceable title track to the ominously swirling "Summer."

UPDATE: Listen to some clips from the EP at the bottom of the page.
