Shame Fest is returning to its home city of Vancouver for another year. Running from August 1 to 3 across three different venues, organizers have shared details about this year's lineup and schedule.
Described as a "protocol of survival and destruction — a party at the edge of the abyss," the Eris Nyx-curated Shame Fest aims to amplify queer, trans, racialized, anti-categorization agents that "resist the ideological regimes of capital and identity politics alike."
Headliner Backxwash will kick off the festival on August 1 at the Rickshaw Theatre alongside Dear Lucy, Prado Monroe, AKAsublime and Aster Dawn. Dreamcrusher, Devours, Maskara and Citadel will hit the stage at the Fortune Sound Club the following day, and BIB, Kleener, Blimp, the Heterosexuals and Girlwife will close out the festival on August 3 at Red Gate Arts Society.
Tickets are available for purchase now. See the full schedule on Shame Fest's website.
